Welcome to Spoken Heart Counseling Center!
Hi, I’m Sara Anderson: Dog lover, yoga enthusiast, part-time musician, wannna-be gardener, and full-time Champion for Stress-free Living.
Since you’re here, you know that stress can cause a lot of different problems ranging from chronic health issues to relationship conflicts. It can cause difficulty with focusing at work or at school and it can cause feelings of being overwhelmed, irritable, angry, and so much more. Because I truly believe stress is at the core of so many challenges, I have been busy these past 16 years spotlighting the impact of stress on children and adults.
Stress often starts with a bad experience, lack of support, feeling pressure from too many places, or trying to survive a challenging situation. Stress is not just an emotional reaction to a difficult situation; stress manifests physically. In fact, stress is stored in the body. Stressed out kids might act aggressively or have extreme emotional outbursts. Some kids complain of stomach aches or headaches and may have problems sleeping at night. Other kids might not be able to make friends or fit in.
In adulthood, with the added pressures of working, paying bills, and managing a ton of responsibilities, stress continues to build. Earlier stressors from childhood are still present and may worsen because of problems in your relationship, at work, or with family members. A traumatic experience, a painful loss, or a chronic medical problem adds to the stress that you already have.
There are powerful solutions to help you get stress under control and experience relief. Imagine feeling confident and comfortable when you encounter a tough situation. Imagine the joy your child has when feeling free of overwhelm, anxiety, and fear. Psychotherapy and Play Therapy can get you there.
You know you’re ready for a change. What I know is that you are ready to take the next steps toward transforming your life and living free of overwhelming stress because you are here today.
I am passionate about working with clients who reject struggling for one more day and are here to take action. If you are ready to end the cycle of pain you are currently in, I invite you to work with me.
